"Obedience Classes for your Canoe"
July 20-24, 2008
WHO: Paddlers interested in precise, quiet-water
boat control.
WHAT: A wide variety of obedience classes for your canoe and related workshops taught by ACA-certified instructors. Student/instructor ratio limited to 5/1.
WHEN: Sunday afternoon, July 20, to Thursday
morning, July 24.
Registration: Sunday, 4-6.
WHERE: Houghton College Star Lake Campus, 55 miles E
of Watertown, NY on state highway 3.
COST: $30 per person per half-day session; others
as indicated.
$30 adult registration, insurance and site fee.
LODGING: BYOL:
Bring Your Own Linens (sheets, towels,
sleeping bags, etc.) NOTE: there are no reading lamps, and you may also
want to bring a fan. “HOUSE RULES”: no alcohol, no tobacco, no pets in the
buildings.

$40/room/night, bathroom down the hall.

$55/room/night, private bath (4 night minimum, very limited availability)
“Reasonable
accomodation” requests must be received by
June 1.
CAMPING: On site:
grass, woods, parking lot.
Showers in the Lodge,
$7/person/night.
MEALS: If you preregister by June 29;
breakfast, $6.00; lunch, $7.50; dinner, $9.00; children 6-12 half price, under
6 free.
WHAT
TO BRING: Canoe(s),
paddle(s), life jackets (we'll be wearing them, not just taking them for a
ride), kneepad, water bottle, sunscreen, hat, long pants, socks, clothing for
hot or cold, wet or dry, etc.
Rental equipment (canoe, paddle, life jacket, kneepad) is available: $30/day
