“Obedience Classes for your Canoe”
THE
CLASSES
Mornings,
Mon - Wed
The morning classes are the core of
the quiet-water curriculum. They are
offered solo or tandem at six different skill levels. Each class will meet Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday mornings and stay together as a group; instructors will move from one
group to another each day.
TOURING CANOE The basics of going somewhere. Canoe and paddle terminology, safety, getting into and out of the canoe, basic forward and turning strokes and maneuvers.
FREESTYLE I Reviews Touring Canoeing and
introduces basic FreeStyle concepts and techniques.
FREESTYLE I B A FreeStyle class for students 13
and under.
FREESTYLE II Emphasis is on all onside forward
maneuvers.
FREESTYLE III Emphasis is on reverse travel
and maneuvers and their relationship to FreeStyle II.
FREESTYLE IV Cross-forward maneuvers
and linking them to
what you already know.
FREESTYLE V Cross-reverse maneuvers and linkages.
Afternoons
The Special Topics classes
in the afternoons allow you to explore other aspects of quietwater canoeing or
to review your morning class.

arrange it for up to 5 people.
