May 25 - 28, 2012
Camp Anokijig, Plymouth, Wisconsin
SYMPOSIUM INFORMATION
The Symposium will offer excellent instruction in a quiet water
venue for people wishing to improve their skills in paddling and
precise control of their canoes. Courses will be available in all
skill levels, both solo and tandem, and taught by ACA certified
instructors. Student/instructor ratio is limited to 5 to 1.
Bring your own canoe, paddle, and PFD if you can; we will have
rentals available on a limited, first-come-first-served basis.
The festivities will commence on Memorial Day Weekend, beginning
around dinnertime on Friday, May 25, and continuing through
lunchtime on Monday, May 28, 2012.
The location is Camp Anokijig (pr. Ann-oh-key’-gee), near
Plymouth, Wisconsin, about 45 minutes north of Milwaukee:
Family-style cabins, tent cabins (BIG tent cabins) as well as tent
and small RV sites will be available at the camp, and the camp is
arranging meals. The regular camp activities (archery, horses,
crafts, etc) will be available for all (both paddlers and
non-paddlers), so there’s fun for everyone!
Registration forms for both the camp (housing & meals) and classes
will be available at around the first of the year; for now, put the
date on your calendar!

Wisconsin FreeStyle Symposium
FreeStyle Canoeing is arriving on the middle states scene! Currently available in locations much further east or south, a FreeStyle Canoeing Symposium will be held in Wisconsin. The new Wisconsin FreeStyle Symposium is being hosted and organized by two Chicago area FreeStyle instructors, Tracy Hunt and Paul Klonowski.
